Assistant Professor – Engineering & Technology – Technology Management Southeast Missouri State University is seeking qualified applicants for a full‑time tenure‑track faculty position at assistant professor level to teach graduate and undergraduate classes in the Technology Management programs within the Department of Engineering & Technology.

Primary Responsibilities

Teach a variety of technology management classes at the graduate and undergraduate level, typically four courses per semester.

Support the technology management graduate program and undergraduate programs and related course curriculum.

Advise and mentor students and provide leadership to the technology management graduate program.

Maintain and advance the industrial advisory board associated with the technology management graduate program.

Maintain and advance relationships with professionals in the technology management industry for program improvement and career placement for students.

Provide service to the department/college/university, including participation in recruitment and retention activities.

Required Qualifications

Doctorate in Technology Management or a closely related field (degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university).

Demonstrated ability to provide high‑quality teaching instruction, utilizing various teaching delivery strategies (including but not limited to face‑to‑face/in‑person, blended, online courses, lab‑based courses, experiential learning, etc.) in areas such as industrial supervision, knowledge management, research methods, project management, industrial safety, management of technology innovations, advanced quality concepts, and technical training and development.

Demonstrated relevant teaching and/or industrial experiences (preference for having both teaching and industrial experience, relevant professional certifications and credentials).

Demonstrated evidence of effective communication skills (including oral, written, and interpersonal).

Demonstrated evidence of a student‑oriented mindset, including promoting the program, advising and mentoring students and helping students with internship and career placement.

Demonstrated evidence of commitment to teamwork, collegiality, and collaboration when interacting with others within and outside the university community.
