As a Post Cast Operator, you will work as a team member under general supervision to remove, clean, cut and verify castings in the post cast area.

Essential Functions

Read and interpret PWI (work instructions).

Lifting (maximum 35#).

Stand for long periods.

Push, pull, and twist materials.

Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.

Vision standards.

Job Responsibilities

Knockout.

Low Temp / Autoclave.

Cutoff, grinding, CNC, waterblast, revert processing.

Sandblast, expediting, vibratory.

Acid etch.

Primary inspection.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED equivalency is required.

WORKKEYS Tests are required: Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, Workplace Documents, and Workplace Observation. Pass Level 4+ on Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents; Level 2+ on Workplace Observation.

Legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Position involves access to export-controlled items; applicants must be able to lawfully obtain such access.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of full‑time continuous work experience with the same employer or six months of manufacturing experience.

Skills and Abilities

Lifting, reading, forklift driving.

Understanding of computers (basic hardware and software).

Use of hand tools.

Mechanical aptitude.

Team concept orientation.

Vision standards.

Capability to perform multiple tasks.

Accurate labor reporting.

Verify quality of work (tolerance, defect recognition).

Remove excess gating.

Calibrated measurement of chemicals.

Ability to become a certified operator (e.g., autoclave, etch, alloy verification).

Experience with chemical and manufacturing equipment is preferred.

Physical Demands

Occasional bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling when retrieving and moving items.

Lifting approximately 50% of the time; assistance provided for weights over 35 pounds.

Good manual dexterity; work may be more than eight hours daily or more than five days weekly.

Squatting/crouching when retrieving stored items from lower shelves and file cabinets, performing inspections, etc.

Standing 80% of the time.

Visual requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Chemical‑related jobs require wearing a chemical suit 90% of the shift; may include hard hat, gloves, sleeves, and a long coat.

Clean work areas and maintain a clean work environment; perform 5S cleaning activities as required.

Air arc/plasma cut.
