Job Summary: The Package Labeling Specialist is responsible for designing, creating specifications, and ensuring compliance with all product labels (including RFID) and collaborates on packaging for retail accounts and stock items.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end package labeling from concept through production, ensuring on-time delivery, quality standards, and customer requirements
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, warehouse, quality, compliance, R&D, and supply chain teams, as well as external vendors, to manage the labeling process
Ensure labels meet customer requirements and comply with federal and international regulations, including materials, allergen warnings, claims, FPLA, and Proposition 65
Educate internal teams and suppliers on customer packaging and labeling requirements
Perform final proofreading and quality checks on physical labels and digital files prior to mass production
Develop and maintain packaging guidelines and specifications to ensure consistency across all product lines
Monitor packaging performance metrics and customer chargebacks to drive continuous improvement
Manage technical label data, including barcodes (GS1, UDI), net content disclosures, and country-specific formatting requirements
Serve as the subject matter expert for RFID requirements across all Rawlings facilities
Skills and Abilities

Communication skills; communicate clearly and precisely
Attention to details; ensure specifications are updated and completed in a timely fashion
Proactive and innovative mindset
Excellent writing skills
Understanding of regulations
Education and Experience
5+ years of experience in packaging and labeling management or product development within consumer goods
Strong working knowledge of GS1 standards, barcode development, and labeling compliance requirements
Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) or related certification preferred
Demonstrated proficiency with packaging and labeling design software, artwork management systems, and project management tools is a plus
