My Hearing Centers is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hearing Aid Technician to join our growing hearing care team. If you enjoy helping patients, working with innovative medical devices, and supporting licensed providers in a clinical environment, this role may be a great fit.
Essential Job Functions
Perform pure-tone hearing screenings as permitted by state scope of practice
Assist licensed providers with hearing aid fittings and adjustments only when directed
Conduct routine cleanings, checks, and minor maintenance of hearing aids, including walk-in services
Prepare hearing aids for delivery, including charging, programming support, and documentation
Manage hearing aid inventory, including ordering, receiving, tracking, and storage
Educate patients on proper hearing aid use, care, and routine self-maintenance
Accurately document services, device status, and patient interactions in clinical systems
Additional Duties (As Assigned)
Assist with provider calendar optimization to support clinic productivity
Support insurance verification and follow-up on benefits or authorizations
Assist with onboarding and pre-qualification of newly scheduled patients
Perform outbound calling to approved patient lists to support hearing evaluation scheduling
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate’s degree, technical certification, or healthcare training preferred
Prior experience as a Hearing Aid Technician or in a clinical/technical healthcare role preferred
Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
Excellent communication and patient service skills
Proficiency with electronic medical records, hearing aid software, and office technology
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Frequent use of hands for fine motor tasks (handling small hearing aid components)
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions
Adequate vision and hearing to perform device inspections and patient interactions
Travel Requirement This role requires 100% travel between clinic locations. Candidates must be comfortable with frequent travel and working in multiple clinic environments based on scheduling needs.
