Overview
This team is responsible for
sourcing Technology purchases
(Software, Software as a Service, Infrastructure) on a regional and global basis. Primary responsibility is to develop, negotiate and implement sourcing strategies by working with key stakeholders on technology requirements, IT, security and legal, which then requires preparing and completing sourcing recommendations to various levels of management. What You\'ll Do
Understand the IT industry and the long-term direction GM/Software and Services is headed. Determine viable suppliers for technology requirements. Develop and manage suppliers under the guidance of Quality, Service, Technology, and Price strategies. This includes sound understanding of deadlines, required lead times, supplier contracts and application types. Active participation with key stakeholders, including Software and Services, the business stakeholder, Legal, and Security. Manage annual renewal cadence and deadlines. Adheres to Corporate purchasing and accounting policies and procedures. Negotiate price, terms, and other items to complete full contract package. Utilize GPSC Sourcing Process to manage Sourcing packages. Utilize GPSC Sourcing Process (Request for Quotation, Analysis of Quotation, Source Selection) to establish a capable/competitive supply base. Develop benchmarking for each sourcing package. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
2+ years of post graduate experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, program/product management or product development Terms and Conditions assessment and Risk evaluation Commercial and Agreement Terms negotiations Project Management Skills Understand basic technology (licensing and Legal) concepts Capability to function independently Proficient communication skills High level knowledge (or ability to learn) about items being purchased Analytical skills, including the ability to do in-depth benchmarking Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously, and prioritize requests Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals Knowledge of computer software (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet Research) SAP experience or ability to learn purchasing systems Must be willing to travel 5% of the time domestically + Internationally Preferred
