As a pharmacist for our Long‑Term Care Pharmacy, you will work in an exciting, dynamic, and fast‑paced environment, ensuring the continuation of pharmacy management's goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. This pharmacist will provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers. We are looking for someone who has a phenomenal work ethic to provide outstanding service and to ensure that the appropriate drug product reaches the customer both efficiently and safely.
This pharmacist will be an integral member of the pharmacy team. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service. The most successful pharmacists demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to prioritize the workflow. The contributions you will make as a pharmacist in this role will position CVS Health as a leader within the LTC marketplace.
Job Description Responsibilities
Execute day‑to‑day operations in the pharmacy as they pertain to workflow, production quotas, and deadlines.
Ensure that the pharmacy is in compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy.
Assist in ensuring that the pharmacy is in compliance with all DEA policies and procedures as set forth by Omnicare or the regulatory agency, whichever is stricter.
Ensure that the pharmacy is in compliance with all third‑party payor contract rules and regulations by which the pharmacy is bound.
Supervise the pharmacy production staff to ensure proper order entry, workflow, security of the pharmacy area, and adherence to delivery schedules.
Check for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders.
Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling.
Preparation and/or supervision of all sterile IV drug products or solutions.
Assist in the proper ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances; assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.
Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled on‑call rotation and as required by management.
Daily workflow grid is cleared. Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.

Education Bachelor's Degree – Required
Relevant Work Experience 1 to 3 years – Required
Minimum (Required) Qualifications
BS Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy required
Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Preferred Qualifications
At least two (2) years of long‑term care experience
Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently to plan, develop and coordinate pharmacy activities
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex topics using reasoning abilities to apply advanced mathematical concepts and draw valid conclusions.
Knowledge of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacist guidelines for practice, state and federal regulations, and drug indicators for long‑term care centers
Knowledge of all government regulations impacting upon pharmacy
Physical Demands
May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty‑five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.

You Will Ensure accurate entry of orders ,
Maintain security of the pharmacy ,
Adhere to required delivery schedules .
Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy.
Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders.
Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling.
Preparation and/or supervision of sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required.
Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.
Knowledge of DEA and state law with regards to controlled drug dispensing.

Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $50.48 - $84.62
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
