Organization: Hyatt Regency Portland Convention Center
The Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant F&B Operations Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities
Assisting in planning and organizing events, including setting up, managing, and breaking down banquet spaces.
Ensure all event details are aligned with client specifications and expectations.
Working closely with clients, event planners, and other departments within the hotel.
Address and resolve client or guest related complaints promptly and professionally.
Oversee the setup of tables, chairs, linens, and décor according to event requirements.
Ensure the proper setup of catering stations and any other event-specific needs.
Assist in maintaining inventory levels for banquet supplies.
Prepare post-event reports, including attendant, revenue, and any operational challenges.
Ensure all billing and payment processes are completed accurately in the POS and Evention.
Ensure all events comply with health and safety regulations, including food safety, emergency procedures, and workplace safety.

Qualifications
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
Refined verbal communication skills
Minimum 2 years banquet leadership experience preferred
Experience working in a union environment preferred
Job will require work on some weekends and nights
Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances
Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds)
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Proficient in basic computer skills
