Job Summary The Polysomnography Technician will provide sleep monitoring and interventions to all patients, performing polysomnography studies and analyzing data to assist in obtaining accurate diagnoses.
Responsibilities
Register patients and gather pre‑study paperwork.
Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
Explain procedures and interactions to patients.
Complete follow‑up notes as needed.
Perform polysomnography studies and analyze data.
Enter charges and clean all study equipment.
Perform some administrative and clerical duties for daily operations of the department.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate's Degree (AA) required.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in a relevant clinical setting.
Licenses/Certifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) at time of hire; Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS) required after 1 year of employment.
Experience with EPIC and Nihon Kohden software preferred.
Preferred: Related Healthcare and Critical Care Experience.
Shift & Work Hours Night shift; three 12‑hour shifts per week (Monday – Saturday); 6:00 pm – 6:30 am.
Physical Requirements
Regularly sit at a computer workstation for extended periods with repetitive motions.
Occasionally lift, push, and/or pull objects up to 50 lbs.
Occasionally stand or walk with objects up to 25 lbs.
