Responsibilities
Under general supervision, provide the restaurant and kitchen with clean and sanitary ware.
Gather all dirty dishware from tubs, rinse, stack in dishracks, and clear dishes of leftovers and trash to prepare for automated washing.
Load full dishracks onto the belt and ensure correct placement in accordance with machine operation instructions.
Operate the automatic dishwashing machine using controls as instructed.
Load dishwashing solutions into automatic dispensers and regulate the output of detergents and chemicals by monitoring and adjusting controls.
Unload clean dishes from racks after washing, inspect for cleanliness, and stack in specified carts and shelves.
Manually scrub pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment that cannot be washed automatically.
Polish all silver, stainless steel, and pewter used in food service to present clean and attractive equipment to diners.
Maintain the automatic dishwashing equipment in good condition, following manufacturer instructions to prolong life and meet health compliance regulations.
Keep the dish room clean and orderly by sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, wiping counters, and organizing shelves.
Clean kitchen work surfaces as scheduled by manager, including walls, ceilings, hoods, vents, and ovens.
Collect all trash cans from kitchen work areas and empty them into the outside trash compactor.
Sweep loading dock and kitchen entrance areas, clearing litter and debris.
Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

Must have basic knowledge of dishwashing.
Physical Demands
Must be able to see minute objects at arm’s length to read meters and controls.
Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, crawl, reach, and retrieve items from above head.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. (including serving trays, carts, tables, chairs, and small equipment up to 75% of the time).
Must be able to travel up to 300 feet and stand regularly throughout the shift.
Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate.
Must be able to perform multiple tasks at one time and pay attention to details in noisy situations.
Must handle china, glassware, and fragile equipment with care to minimize breakage.
Environment Prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and carrying throughout the majority of the shift in a 95% indoor environment. Freezer temperatures can reach ‑10°F.
