Purpose of the Position
Army Residence Community is looking for a skilled and reliable
Facility Equipment Maintenance Technician
to repair, maintain, and support the operational efficiency of custodial and laundry equipment throughout our facility. This position also plays a vital role in maintaining lighting, air conditioning filters, drains, and performing general handyman tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair custodial equipment: vacuums, extractors, buffers.
Maintain and repair laundry equipment: washers, dryers, irons.
Replace light bulbs throughout various areas such as activity rooms, chapel, beauty shop, etc.
Change air conditioning filters facility-wide.
Clean facility drains (compactor room, kitchens, restrooms, etc.).
Move furniture for social events and cleaning.
Perform general handyman duties and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience with equipment repair and maintenance required.
Must be physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must have full range of motion for lifting, reaching, crawling, kneeling, stooping, and climbing.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Vision: Normal vision required.
Hearing: Can be performed by a hearing‑impaired individual.
Environmental & Physical Demands
Active physical labor, including walking, lifting, bending, reaching, and operating tools.
Work performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be able to ascend/descend stairs and ladders.
Frequent handling, grasping, and use of hand tools required.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Must pass background check and drug screening in accordance with state regulations and accrediting agencies.
