Responsibilities
Drive straight trucks or tractor-trailers to haul required products locally or out of town.
Spot trailers for loading and unloading and perform other truck driving duties as directed by the supervisor.
Transport products between shipping departments, move parts and stocks from one facility to another, and make over‑the‑road runs.
Load and unload flatbed trucks, stage on dock as needed, and keep required records (shuttle move logs, daily vehicle inspection logs).
Maintain the trucks by cleaning, checking oil, and performing general vehicle maintenance.
Pass the Packing and Shipping Operator’s Test.
Backup drivers may perform warehouse job duties as assigned.
Other duties as required by the employer.
Qualifications
Satisfactory completion of Department of Transportation requirements, including a Class A CDL and a current medical certificate card.
Ability to obtain a Haz‑mat endorsement added to the CDL.
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and from waist to floor, lift 90 lbs. periodically, walk, see, and use both hands.
Physical Requirements
Work for a minimum of eight hours per shift.
Physical requirements may occasionally exceed the specified levels.
