Overview
WAREHOUSE SPECIALIST (2026-24425): Bowhead is seeking Warehouse Specialists to join our team in support of the Warehouse Storage and Support Services contract located in Jacksonville, FL, at the Naval Air Station. The Warehouse Specialists are responsible for various warehouse duties in accordance with DoD logistics procedures, standard operating procedures, and any local applicable regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Verifies incoming items versus receiving documents and reports any discrepancies and damages
Routes, stores, stocks, or palletizes materials to the correct storage locations and in accordance with prescribed storage methods
Assists in taking inventory of all stored materials and re-routes as necessary
Inspects stored materials while ensuring all damage and/or deterioration is reported appropriately
Adhering to established company safety, personnel policies, SOP’s and assists with other duties as assigned
May be called upon to provide support to the Warehouse Lead as needed
Locates and packages materials for shipping as needed
Operating vehicles, hand and forklift trucks in the normal course of operations
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required in addition to at least two (2+) years warehouse inventory, record filing and packaging duties
Must possess a valid state Driver’s License and be able to maintain/obtain a forklift license
Any prior experience with government contracts and locations is helpful
Basic level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level
