Job Summary The Associate will work closely with senior professionals and contribute to all aspects of client engagements. Responsibilities include supporting both advisory and investment banking workstreams, performing in-depth financial and operational analyses, and preparing client deliverables. The role offers broad exposure to situations involving liquidity management, restructuring, distressed M&A, capital raising, and strategic alternatives. Travel will be required.
Typical assignments include
Building and maintaining financial models (e.g., 13-week cash flows, 3-statement projections, valuation analyses)
Performing company and industry research and preparing market analyses
Supporting diligence efforts, including gathering, organizing, and reviewing data
Drafting reports, presentations, and memoranda for clients, lenders, and other stakeholders
Preparing pitch materials and business development presentations
Supporting transaction execution (e.g., buyer/seller outreach, data room management, and diligence requests)
Interacting with clients, investors, lenders, attorneys, and other parties under senior supervision
Skill Key Skills & Qualifications
Strong analytical, accounting, and financial modeling skills
Ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets, including cash flow modeling
Solid understanding of corporate finance concepts and financial statement analysis
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex concepts concisely
Highly organized, with ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams under deadlines
Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and professional presence
Self-starter with strong work ethic, integrity, and sound judgment
Preferred: Prior exposure to restructuring, distressed M&A, or special situations investment banking
Experience
BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
Analyst: 0–2 years of experience in financial services, consulting, accounting, or investment banking
Associate: 2–4 years of relevant experience in restructuring, investment banking, or financial advisory
CPA, CFA, or FINRA certifications a plus, but not required
