About the Facility
Valle Vista Health System (a UHS facility) is a 132‑bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Greenwood, IN. It features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care and a variety of outpatient services at multiple locations.
Position Summary The Access Center Intake Clinician is responsible for the facilitation of requests for services, assessment of patient/family clinical needs, referrals to appropriate resources and services. The Intake Clinician works as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive appropriate care. The clinicians also interface with managed care organizations, external reviewers, other payers, and as needed crisis calls to community ERs.
Work Location 898 East Main Street, Greenwood, IN 46143, 317‑943‑9648
Work Schedule Thursday, Wednesday and Saturday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Qualifications Education:
License Eligible Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, mental health/behavioral sciences, or related field or RN (preferably BSN) required
Licensure:
Licensed in field, preferred.
Experience:
Working knowledge of DSM‑V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field required. 1‑2 years of experience in psychiatric health care preferred. Previous experience in mental health field, preferred.
