Boeing’s Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is seeking a talented and motivated

Experienced

Facilities Permitting Specialist

to join our Projects, Assets, Construction, and Engineering Center of Excellence (PACE) team working on-site in our

Renton, WA

location.

This role partners with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners and procurement professionals to support successful project delivery. The Facilities Permitting Specialist works closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies to navigate permitting requirements and provide guidance that supports safe, compliant and timely construction outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced facilities professional with a strong working knowledge of local, state and federal building and construction codes. This individual will demonstrate sound judgment and discretion when managing sensitive or non-public projects and are skilled at researching complex issues and presenting clear, practical options to senior and executive leadership. Comfortable working across multiple organizations, this role coordinates resources to deliver integrated solutions and communicates effectively in both collaborative settings and formal briefings. When necessary, you are able to deliver challenging information professionally to maintain trust and support informed decision‑making.

Position Responsibilities

Serve as a liaison with King County and City of Renton permitting and inspection staff, proactively facilitating communication to maintain strong working relationships and expedite project approvals

Evaluate contractor proposals and cost estimates for fairness and reasonableness; elevate and coordinate with stakeholders on complex or high‑risk proposals as needed

Administer contractor activities throughout the project lifecycle, including participation in contractor selection, contract award, change negotiations, constructability reviews and regular cost/schedule reviews to ensure compliance with Boeing procedures and project requirements

Coordinate and sustain collaborative relationships with strategic external partners (e.g., airports, neighboring businesses, and utilities), ensuring alignment on schedule, access, security and operational impacts

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

3+ years of experience in Facilities Project Management or Construction Management

1+ years of experience in communicating and collaborating directly with internal or external customers, peers, other employees, and all levels of leadership

1+ years of experience managing project schedules and managing programs & projects

Experience in operations, facilities management, maintenance, manufacturing, construction projects and/or project management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Project Management (PM)/ Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

3+ years of experience budgeting and forecasting

3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

3+ years of experience in project cost management

3+ years of experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software

3+ years of experience with Procore project management

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $101,150 - $136,850
