As a navigator, you will support and partner with drivers at the Chick‑fil‑A Supply Market Distribution Center in Hutchins, TX to provide excellent delivery service to restaurants. You will help with unloading the truck, delivering and organizing food, navigating to each destination, completing delivery logs and sharing opportunities for process improvement. As a navigator, you will be a crucial part of a team innovating ways to better serve Chick‑fil‑A® restaurants and operators. You will report to the transportation supervisor and collaborate with the transportation team to provide the driver with up‑to‑date route, schedule and delivery instructions.
Location 1225 W Wintergreen Rd, Hutchins, TX 75141
Pay Starting at $24.25 an hour
Schedule
4‑Day workweek (four 10‑hour days) overnight
Time: 7 pm – 9 am
Schedule will be assigned according to business needs; flexibility needed during weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts

Responsibilities
Complete pre‑trip checklist and prepare equipment for safe, efficient use
Conduct trip planning to confirm optimal route and road conditions
Ensure driver is aware of route plan and any exceptions to normal delivery sequence
Help driver navigate and position truck for deliveries
Assist with unloading product at restaurants in an accurate, organized manner
Ensure all food safety protocols are followed during delivery, with special attention to temperature integrity and prevention of damage and contamination
Communicate any potential service interruptions (e.g., scheduling discrepancies or security risks) to the DC
Handle mistakes gracefully and professionally by executing “Remarkable Recovery”
Secure all product and equipment loaded on trailer for transit between stops
Organize and maintain control of all shipping documents throughout each delivery route
Assist driver with collection of all equipment (e.g., carts and pallets) or product returns from restaurants
Frequently lift up to 65 pounds; occasionally move with mechanical assistance up to 1,500 pounds
Work in all weather conditions
Prepare for a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
Typically work shifts at night (e.g., 10 p.m. – 8 a.m.)
Work in a multi–temperature environment, including freezer
Communicate effectively with stakeholders (restaurant operators and distribution center staff)
Adapt to change and respond to difficult and challenging situations professionally
Manage pressure and conflicting demands; prioritize tasks and workload effectively
Perform other related duties as assigned
Know customers’ needs intimately, treat all parties with dignity and respect in difficult situations, and maintain a positive, service‑focused mindset
Minimum Qualifications
High school or equivalent (e.g., GED)
Self‑starter with excellent project management and organization skills
Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills; a team player who can work independently when necessary

Detail‑oriented, organized yet creative problem solver and communicator (written and verbal)

Able to travel 5% of the job for Chick‑fil‑A operator/market visits, supplier visits, and related conferences
