This is a permanent Housekeeping Assistant role at Avery Healthcare's Avery Park Care Home in Kettering. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and laundry in the care home, working as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of health and safety, experience in cleaning and laundry in a public setting, and demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality service to residents.
Main duties of the job As a Housekeeping Assistant, your focus will be to work as part of a team to ensure that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. You will operate according to the standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained. Other responsibilities include carrying out cleaning duties, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings, and ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect.

Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.

Qualifications
Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.

The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
