Training Dates: Tue. June 9 - Fri. June 12 3:30pm-8:00pm, Mon. June 15 - Thur. June 18 7:45am-1:45pm
WEEK 1 w/Campers: Mon. June 22 - Fri. June 26 - 7:45AM-3:45PM
WEEK 2 w/Campers: Mon. June 29 - Thur July 2 - 7:45AM-3:45PM (No Camp Friday, July 3)
WEEK 3 w/Campers: Mon. July 6 - Fri. July 10 - 7:45AM-3:45PM
WEEK 4 w/Campers: Mon. July 13 - Fri. July 17 - 7:45AM-3:45PM
WEEK 5 w/Campers: Mon. July 20 - Fri. July 24 - 7:45AM-3:45PM
WEEK 6 w/Campers: Mon. July 27 - Fri. July 31 - 7:45AM-3:45PM
WEEK 7 w/Campers: Mon. Aug. 3 - Fri. Aug. 7 - 7:45AM-3:45PM
MANDATORY OHD PREP: Thur. August 13 8:00am - 12:00pm (hours may vary)
MANDATORY OHD MAIN EVENT: Sat. August 15 8hour shift between 9:00am - 9:00pm
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
Able to plan, prepare & lead activities with approx. 20 campers
Able to lead other staff members / delegate/ be a team player
Able to handle discipline issues as they arise and manage group behaviors
Able to communicate well with parents, campers and co-workers
Able to keep accurate attendance and lunch count records
Able to maturely interact with children, as a role model
Able to manage campers transitioning from one area to another
Willing to perform tasks delegated by camp director or Rec. Dept. Director
Able to attend all of the summer camp work season
Able to attend the Old Home Day Event on August 15th 2026.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum age 18 by the start of camp
Currently certified in 1st aid / CPR (if not, we will train at pay rate of minimum wage)
Must pass background check and drug screening
High School graduate or G.E.D. (preferred candidate will have degree in education or related field)
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Experience in leading recreation and group activities, experience in working with youth 0-15 yrs of age.
Background in education or related field is preferred.
