Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field Starting salary for first year faculty without teaching experience is $58,000. Salary will be higher for teachers with experience and/or additional qualifications. The ideal candidate understands neurodiversity, values relationship-based teaching, and can deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with diverse learning profiles. Key Teaching Responsibilities
Teach High School Biology, Anatomy & Physiology using differentiated instructional strategies tailored to diverse learners. Design and implement a clear scope and sequence for each course, loosely based on National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) standards, ensuring that lessons are engaging, hands-on, and inquiry based. Develop labs and project-based learning experiences aligned with course content. Assess student progress using a variety of assessment methods and adjust instruction as needed. Collaborate with colleagues and student support teams to implement accommodations and learning plans. Maintain regular communication with students, families, and faculty.
