team leverages decades of expertise in CAD and 3D rendering, metal mold engineering, master models, and rubber molds to create the high-quality products our customers expect and trust. The Model Maker Apprentice
supports the manufacturing process by learning to create high-quality master models that meet production standards. Under the guidance of experienced model makers, this role develops foundational bench skills, tool usage, and an understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes. Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Strong, positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills Basic understanding of manufacturing processes Attention to detail and ability to spot product defects Ability to follow instructions and work safely with tools and materials Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using basic bench tools such as a torch or flex shaft Prior exposure to laser welding equipment Experience in a jewelry, metalworking, or related manufacturing environment Ability to interpret simple design drawings or models Key Responsibilities:
Perform basic soldering tasks to support model preparation Use bench tools such as a flex shaft and torch to complete assigned work orders Identify defects in cast products, including pits, shrinkage, or incomplete casts Maintain safe knowledge and handling of chemicals at the bench or workstation Learn to interpret design specifications and drawings Learn sprue placement and understand its impact on casting results Demonstrate a developing understanding of the overall manufacturing process Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work performed at a bench using small tools and equipment Requires fine motor skills and good hand-eye coordination May involve sitting or standing for extended periods Exposure to chemicals, heat, and small particulates with proper PPE provided.
