The Role The Shop Technician, level I, works primarily in the shop disassembling, assembling and repairing frac equipment.

Additional Information:

Pay:

Pay will start at $19.85/hour and can be adjusted based on experience

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM with opportunity for overtime as business demands. Typically getting 10 hours a day. On call 24/7 (very flexible)

Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.

What will you do:

Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas at all times

Assemble and break down, clean new or used equipment, inspect, repair and test grease and paint equipment

Troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test frac equipment based on customer communications

Read and follow standard operating procedures

Execute general shop maintenance such as cleanup of the shop, work area, and equipment

Perform shipping and receiving responsibilitiesBe responsible for the safety of self and others including reporting of all work-related injuries, near misses, equipment damage and unsafe acts to supervisor or senior technician as soon as practicable

Maintain SPM Oil & Gas supplied assets and any other equipment, including site specific equipment, as it relates to company policy

Maintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times

Demonstrate the ability to perform independently or in a team setting

Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance

Exhibit and advocate exemplary safety culture at all times

Exhibit a high degree of integrity at all times

Adhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change

Performs other duties as assigned

What you will have:

One to three months of equivalent work experience or training

Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic

Previous experience with hand tools, power tools and air tools

Physical Demands:

Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear

Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department

Work Environment:

Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles

Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions

Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration

Noise Level: Moderate

Summary Pay Range: $19.85 - $26.55
