Position:
Real Estate Permit/Zoning Specialist
Location:
Jackson, MI (Hybrid)
Employment Type:
Full-Time Contract
Pay:
$33-37 per hour
Responsibilities:
Effectively communicate Owner's requirements with governmental agencies for the acquisition of various permits and approvals for construction, operation and maintenance of existing and new facilities
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet objectives and deadlines
Effectively use Owner’s established policies, procedures, processes to perform work
Process requests for certificates of insurance and posting of bonds by completing and submitting appropriate forms
Prepare and/or send correspondence, and overnight documents
Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret jurisdictional regulatory policies and procedures impacting real estate transactions
Ability to read and interpret real estate documents and legal descriptions and construction-related drawings
Previous experience with zoning, land divisions, and utility permitting
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Right of Way/Real Estate industry with at least 1 year working in the capacity of a Permit/Zoning Agent
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
