Development Assistant — Full Time
The Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking a Full Time Development Assistant to join our fast paced and forward-thinking team in the Development Department.
In this position, reporting to the Director for Events and Special Projects, the Development Assistant will assist with a broad range of administrative, database and outreach activities in support of special events, fundraising and development efforts. The Development Assistant is also responsible for office administration, managing donor data input and reporting, while providing support for fundraising events and other special projects.

Position Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events.
Assist in processing donations and preparing acknowledgements.
Prepare monthly donor solicitation mailings.
Assist in maintaining donor records, data entry, and database updates.
Monitor website pertaining to Development events and donation forms.
Draft donor correspondence (letters, emails, and appeals).
Maintains departmental central files, calendar, personal records and general email accounts
Provide general office support and reception backup.
Assist with various tasks involving the Parker League Gift Shop, including the Gift Shop website
Maintains inventory of office supplies and re-orders when needed
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience in a fundraising or development setting is a plus
Proficiency within Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with social media applications and social media marketing
Experience in Raiser's Edge a plus
