Organization Overview
The opening is in the Distribution Warehouse, which is responsible for order processing functions such as picking, packing, and shipping pharmaceutical orders to sales reps, wholesalers, and retailers. Distribution Technicians typically rotate through a variety of roles related to performing these functions. Location: Plainfield Distribution Center – Plainfield, Indiana (reports to the Supervisor of Distribution Operations). Position Responsibilities
Pick and pack customer orders. This includes interaction with the warehouse management system via a handheld RF device; material is picked by scanning product license plate; validated packing requirements are followed precisely. When the pick/pack function is complete, the order is weight‑checked to verify accuracy. Orders are consolidated by license plate to ship units. Packing lists and ship labels are printed and included with the shipment. Responsible for complying with FDA and OSHA requirements. Responsible for ensuring that all training identified in the individual training plan (ITP) is current and complete. Constantly look for improvements in productivity, compliance, and data accuracy. Basic Requirements
High school degree or equivalent. 1–3 years warehouse experience. Additional Skills/Preferences
Experience working with an electronic warehouse management system such as SAP, Exacta, Worldlink, and RF scanners. Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail. Flexible and willing to be cross‑trained to perform multiple assignments. Willing to work overtime with little notice. Reliable with a good work attendance history. Demonstrated computer skills. Strong teamwork ability. High productivity rate in previous assignments. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division); ability to count large numbers of items accurately. Self‑starter requiring minimal supervision. Experience operating pallet jacks and powered industrial trucks. Willingness to work part of the day in a chilled environment (36–46°F). Ability to stand, lift (up to 40 lbs), and bend as required. Additional Information
Work Shift: 5 days a week, 8‑hour days Monday–Friday. Personal considerations: No known allergies to antibiotics. Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$17.30 – $38.08
per hour. Full‑time employees also will be eligible for a company bonus, depending in part on company and individual performance.
