Salary Range: $22.00 – $29.50 per hour

Sign‑on Bonus: $10,000

Job Summary The Senior Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as an experienced caregiver to residents during the scheduled work period in long‑term care, demonstrating expert level experience as a certified nursing assistant and assisting other staff as needed. The NA provides resident‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Knowledge of and delivery of age‑appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident are performed in accordance with the care plan. The NA is expected to follow infection prevention and control policies, use personal protective equipment, and maintain high accountability.

Responsibilities

Provide resident‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.

Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care.

Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, and provide range of motion and passive exercises using correct transfer techniques and equipment.

Complete food preparation, dining assistance, and create a positive dining experience for residents.

Assist providers and nursing staff with procedures, document resident interactions and outcomes, communicate changes in condition, and collect non‑invasive specimens.

Provide housekeeping and laundry services to help residents keep living areas clean and operational.

Assist with wellness and recreational programs and encourage resident participation.

Participate in departmental or organization committees and task forces as needed.

Execute tasks related to the Restorative Nursing program, including documentation, scheduling, and leading restorative programs.

Qualifications

High school graduate or GED (preferred).

Minimum age 16.

Minimum 2 years of clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care (preferred).

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.

Complete yearly department‑specific competency testing and maintain 12 hours of continuing education annually.

May be required to complete Restorative Nursing training within 6 months.

For applicable states, registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.

May require classification as a Sanford Category II Driver, requiring a valid driver’s license, a vehicle report, and medical qualification for driving functions.
