Position Overview Caribou Coffee is dedicated to creating day‑making experiences that spark a chain reaction of good. Our team brings this to life by focusing on TEAM, GUEST, BUSINESS. The Shift Leader partners with the General Manager or Assistant General Manager to guide the store and set clear expectations.
Core Responsibilities
Demonstrate mastery of doing with enthusiasm and excellence.
Lead shifts focused on team engagement and guest satisfaction.
Think strategically about maximizing product sales and waste management.
Take ownership of the store’s look and feel.
Know daily deployments and role responsibilities.
Use effective communication on the floor.
Address team and guest needs proactively.
Delegate objectives and tasks based on shift priorities.
Ensure the team executes SOP and quality standards.
Coaches and gives feedback to Team Members in the moment.
Train team on role responsibilities, product knowledge, and promotions.
Handle administrative tasks such as bank deposits, inventory, and orders.
Develop team members and discuss career growth.

Make decisions as Manager on Duty.
Remain calm under pressure.
Create a positive, inclusive culture.
Seek growth opportunities for own development.

Skills and Qualifications Required
At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience.
Ability to work early mornings, evenings, holidays, and/or weekends.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements The position requires hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for 4 to 8 hours, and completing these tasks with or without reasonable accommodations.
