Job Title Mechanical Quality Control Technician – Kingsport, TN

Essential Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in welding, quality control, and/or inspection.
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Computer literacy.
Ability to read isometric diagrams, PIDs, CAD drawings, etc.
Interpretation of 3‑D modeling.
Post‑offer drug/alcohol screening, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
Compliance with company and client job‑site safety requirements.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
Functional Requirements The incumbent will develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s quality control program, standards, procedures, and applicable codes. Responsibilities include:
Conduct inspections and witness tests to determine the acceptability of work.
Perform audits to ensure QA/QC compliance.
Define corrective measures for problem areas and ensure their implementation.
Formulate and maintain quality control objectives, and supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing.
Analyze statistical data and specifications to establish product standards and quality expectations.
Plan, promote, and organize quality and reliability activities.
Maintain work performance records and inspection documentation.
Ensure correctness of all documents.
Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Compensation Final agreed upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.

Lifting 30‑50 lbs. from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead.
Carrying objects and tools; standing, sitting, walking.
Using vision and hearing with or without correction.
Applying basic mathematical skills; planning work.
Reading, writing, and recognizing safety hazards.
