What We’re Looking For Walstrom Marine is seeking a
Business Manager
to join our growing team! This role is essential to ensuring seamless sales transactions, managing financing and insurance (F&I) processes, and supporting the sales team in delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in finance and lending practices—preferably in the marine, automotive, or recreational vehicle industry.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Support the sales team in securing customer commitments and processing transactions.
Collect deposits, create deal jackets, and manage contract cancellations/refunds.
Conduct customer interviews to assess financing needs, present finance options, and submit credit applications.
Identify the most profitable lending programs based on customer needs and lender portfolio.
Educate customers on financing benefits, warranties, and ancillary products to enhance profitability.
Ensure all deal documentation complies with lender and regulatory requirements, including boat and trailer registrations, title applications, and lien processing.
Review contracts with customers, obtain signatures, and submit complete funding packages to lenders.
Finalize sales in IDS, verify funding, and ensure accurate deal closure.
Maintain strong relationships with lenders and product partners to secure competitive rates and programs.
Train the sales team on financing programs and compliance requirements.
Process Coast Guard documentation and oversee manufacturer rebate/incentive programs.
Work with the Sales Manager to ensure compliance with rebate requirements and vendor approvals.
Submit rebate documentation to Accounting for tracking.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This is a
full-time, on-site position
based out of our Traverse City location.
Saturday availability is required during summer months
to support peak-season operations.
Experience & Qualifications
Experience in F&I management, preferably in the
marine, automotive, or recreational vehicle industry .
Strong knowledge of
finance, lending practices, and insurance products .
Excellent
negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in paperwork and compliance.
Proficiency with finance software and industry-related systems.
