Full‑Time Assistant Manager – Cinemark
Join Cinemark as a full‑time Assistant Manager and be part of a team that creates unforgettable movie experiences.
Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed and operational standards are met. They are cross‑trained in all departments to support where needed and provide inspirational training to all Employees. The Assistant Manager can advance to Senior Assistant Manager, then Theatre Manager or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working a minimum of six months.
Responsibilities
Follow the direction of the General Manager.
Support General Manager’s decisions in communication with staff.
Work in all departments and all theatre job functions.
Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions.
Assist in preparing administrative and special reports for the General Manager.
Observe and participate in the inspection of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, Cinemark property, roof, and exterior signage, and equipment condition.
Report the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to General Manager.
Ensure that theatre Team Members follow the dress code.
Interact with Guests for improved service in the theatre and ensure that Team Members provide superior Customer service.
Learn and follow the policies and procedures as established in Cinemark’s Guidelines; enforce these with all Team Members fairly and consistently.
Report all Employee relations issues to the General Manager (or the management reporting protocol if General Manager is absent).
All management members must follow the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol.
All management members are held to a high work ethic standard and code of conduct.
Consistently identify and sanitize high‑contact areas for employees and guests.
Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment while completing position‑specific tasks.
Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks.
Properly address any safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.).
Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred.
Complete three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core) within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program.
Complete basic food handling training and obtain any local or state‑mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required.
Management members who work with alcohol must complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program.
Availability to work flexible hours, which include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Require regular and consistent attendance.
Have an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift.
Provide excellent Guest service.
Demonstrate accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
Display interpersonal skills that include the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities, and be able to effectively converse in and comprehend English.
Be able to work in a team environment and independently.
Be able to take and follow direction.
Respond with a sense of urgency.
Show excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Be able to train and lead others.
Must be able to resolve conflict.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre.
Noise level may be moderate to high at times.
Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
