Transport Planner / HGV Planner – Maternity Cover
Ashford (transport Essential)
Monday–Friday | 8:00am–5:30pm (1-hour break)
£35,000 DOE (flexible for the right candidate)
We are looking for an experienced
Transport Planner / HGV Planner
to join our clients team on a
maternity cover
basis. You’ll support the Transport Manager and play a key role in the day-to-day planning and operation of the transport department.
Key Duties
Plan and manage daily HGV deliveries and collections
Amend transport plans to meet changing operational demands
Liaise with drivers and customers regarding loads and schedules
Produce PODs and transport paperwork
Ensure compliance with transport legislation and FORS requirements
Monitor vehicle servicing, defects, and rectification
Support general transport administration and reporting
Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience
as a Transport Planner or HGV Planner
Strong knowledge of transport operations and compliance
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
