A home with heart Godfrey Robinson House, rated "Good" by CQC, is home to 19 adults with physical and learning disabilities. Just a short journey from Kingston upon Hull, our service provides a safe, welcoming, and empowering environment for both residents and staff.
Your working hours 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm (some flexibility is required to work weekends as required)
About the role We are looking for a Facilities Manager to oversee the smooth running of our ancillary team, including catering, maintenance, transport, domestic services, and activities. You will ensure that our residents experience a safe, well-maintained environment with high-quality social and recreational activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and motivating a multidisciplinary team, including line management of catering, domestic, maintenance, and transport staff
Ensuring all services are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget
Conducting risk assessments and implementing HACCP systems for Health & Safety compliance
Managing maintenance schedules and ongoing safety checks
Organising sufficient trained drivers and escorts for transport needs
Overseeing cleaning, laundry, and domestic services to meet required standards
Planning and organising resident activities

Supervisory experience with the ability to train, coach, and motivate a team
Experience managing budgets effectively
Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
Experience planning and organising activities
A full, clean driving licence where driving is essential.
