Job Summary Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

Organizes and coordinates daily operational functions and workflow to ensure the performance of high‑quality exams/treatments and the delivery of safe patient care and customer satisfaction.

Demonstrates a thorough understanding of radiologic principles and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.

Develops an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.

Implements the procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.

Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.

Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.

Completes assigned goals.

Specifications Experience 6 months experience in an acute care setting or comparable specialty area as required to meet all Lead competencies at the end of the orientation period.

Education Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with Registry in Radiography ARRT (R) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date. Registry in Vascular Interventional ARRT(VI) preferred.

Training Special Skills: Basic computer literacy skills.

Licensure ARRT(R); BLS certification within 14 days of hire; new graduates who will obtain the required registry within 60 days of hire; state license as required ARRT(VI).

Work Environment Functional demands: Medium rating. Daily activity includes sitting, standing, walking, climbing (occasional), carrying, pushing/pulling, twisting, bending, reaching, squatting/kneeling/crawling, and fine motor tasks. Sensory requirements include near vision, far vision, depth perception, and hearing. Environmental requirements include blood‑borne pathogens, radiation, and airborne communicable diseases.
