Cedarcrest is looking for a friendly, dependable team member to help keep our facility clean, organized, and welcoming. As a Laundry & Light Housekeeping Team Member, you’ll ensure residents have fresh, cared-for clothing and linens while maintaining a tidy, comfortable environment that everyone can enjoy.
Key Responsibilities:
Laundry Care & Management
Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold residents’ laundry, keeping clean and soiled items properly separated.
Pre-treat stains and follow special laundry procedures as requested by nursing or rehab staff.
Help with offsite laundering when needed to ensure residents always have fresh clothing and linens.
Clothing Distribution & Care
Make sure residents’ clothing is labeled and organized.
Identify items needing minor repairs and fix them when possible.
Deliver clean laundry to residents’ rooms and linen storage areas.
Notify supervisors when clothing or linens need replacement.
Laundry Room & Equipment Maintenance
Keep the laundry room and equipment clean, safe, and well‑organized.
Clean dryer lint traps, sweep and mop floors, dust surfaces, and manage laundry containers.
Maintain inventory of detergents, softeners, and disinfectants, storing chemicals safely.
Report equipment issues promptly.
Housekeeping & Special Tasks
Assist with general housekeeping tasks, including trash removal, detail cleaning, and cloth furniture care.
Follow proper procedures when cleaning in areas with isolation or precautions.
Support special projects as assigned to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least one year of experience in laundry services preferred.
Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
Reliable, team‑oriented, and positive attitude.
