Collect old devices and review for replacement as needed* Lead the department's Safety Committee, Continuity of Operation Planning, assist with onboarding, and other key initiatives* Provide confidential administrative and clerical support to the Director and Deputy Director* Coordinate and manage staff recognition events as well as special projects and tasks* Review and respond to routine inquiries that do not require supervisory attention; answer questions and provide information regarding department policies and procedures; research and provide a variety of special reports and schedules; prepare materials for a variety of meetings* Assist other divisions with special projects to support the department**Working Conditions*** This position works in a busy, often noisy, office setting within an animal shelter, with proximity to animals of all types. May be eligible for hybrid flexibility after a brief training period* Exposure to cleaning products used in animal shelters and the smells associated with animal housing* While performing the job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods and occasionally stand and walk on all types of surfaces, sometimes slippery or uneven, and rough* Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly.
