Applied Epic Trainer

Position Overview
We’re looking for an experienced insurance training professional well‑versed in Applied Epic insurance accounting software and agency management system (AMS) usage. The Applied Epic Trainer will teach and support our agency accounting teams, delivering training on Patriot’s standardized Epic accounting workflows, assisting with AMS conversions, and ensuring consistent, accurate accounting processes across Patriot’s network of insurance agencies.
Work Location and Arrangements The position is full time, fully remote, with a preference for candidates residing in the U.S. Eastern or Central time zones or those who will work standard U.S. Eastern time zone business hours.
Professional Responsibilities
Provide training on Applied Epic insurance accounting software and the accounting workflows for agency conversions and ongoing staff development.
Serve as a subject matter expert for insurance accounting within Epic and support end users with questions and issue resolution.
Maintain and update workflow documentation as accounting processes evolve.
Develop training videos, job aids, and learning materials for Epic accounting functions.
Partner with stakeholders to analyze, design, and optimize accounting workflows.
Review Epic release notes, support workflow testing, and assist with communicating system changes.
Contribute to AMS conversion activities, including data validation and transaction support, as needed.
Recommend process improvements to enhance consistency, efficiency, and compliance across agencies.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in accounting or a business‑related field.
5+ years of Applied Epic insurance accounting software experience within the insurance industry.
Strong working knowledge of P&C agency accounting workflows (direct bill, agency bill, trust accounting, carrier payables, reconciliation, etc.).
Prior experience developing or maintaining workflow documentation and training materials.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite tools and agency management systems software.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
Ability to support and influence diverse stakeholders.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to travel up to 25% for agency training and support as needed.

Compensation A base salary in the $80,000–$100,000 range, based on relevant experience, and eligibility for the company’s incentive compensation plan.
