The Carriage Club
Job Summary
The Carriage Club Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the club's facilities, including restrooms, locker rooms, dining areas, lounges, and other member spaces. This role also includes managing laundry duties to ensure fresh linens and towels are always available. The Housekeeper is essential in creating a welcoming and sanitary environment for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning Duties
Clean and maintain all public areas, including dining rooms, lounges, restrooms, locker rooms, and hallways.
Ensure all surfaces are dusted, floors are swept, mopped, and polished, and windows are regularly cleaned.
Sanitize and maintain restrooms, including replenishing soap, paper towels, and other supplies.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness throughout the day, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
Laundry Duties
Launder linens, towels, and other fabrics used throughout the club, ensuring they are clean, pressed, and ready for use.
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry according to club standards.
Ensure that laundry equipment (washers, dryers, irons) is properly maintained and used efficiently.
Monitor inventory of laundry supplies and place orders as needed to maintain stock.
Event Support
Assist with setting up and breaking down for events and special functions as required.
Ensure the availability of clean tablecloths, napkins, and other fabric items for events.
Inventory Management
Keep track of cleaning supplies and linens, ensuring that stock levels are maintained.
Report any equipment malfunctions or shortages to management.
Customer Service
Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to member and guest requests.
Handle all interactions with respect, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Safety and Sanitation
Follow proper cleaning and safety procedures, especially when handling chemicals and cleaning agents.
Ensure the safe and correct use of all cleaning equipment and laundry machines.
Skills and Qualifications
Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience, preferably in a hospitality or private club setting.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with members and guests professionally.
Knowledge of cleaning products, laundry processes, and safety protocols.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
