Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated
Restoration & Contents Technician
to join our production team. This role supports both the
Water Mitigation
and
Contents
departments. The ideal candidate will handle everything from water extraction and demolition to pack‑outs, cleaning, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to emergency calls for water, fire, or mold damage, including after‑hours and weekend rotations.
Extract water, set up drying equipment, and take moisture readings.
Perform demolition, cleaning, and mold remediation following IICRC standards.
Inventory, pack‑out, transport, and clean customer contents.
Accurately complete job documentation, photos, and paperwork using job management platforms (MICA, DASH, Xactware, etc.).
Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, adjusters, and TPAs regarding job status and approvals.
Write basic sketches and determine job scope as needed.
Train new employees using the “crawl, walk, run” method.
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of vehicles and equipment.
Adhere to company policies and safety standards, including proper PPE use.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum one year of restoration experience required
Construction knowledge is required
(basic understanding of building materials, tools, and repair methods)
IICRC WRT Certification preferred
(or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
Experience using
Mitigate ,
MICA ,
DASH , or
Xactware
preferred
Must live within the office’s
service area
and participate in on‑call rotation (nights, weekends, holidays)
Valid driver’s license with an
insurable driving record
Must pass background screening (biennially), drug screening, and pre‑employment physical
Physically able to lift 80+ lbs, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces
Effective communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to adapt to changing conditions
Familiarity with hand tools and smartphone/tablet technology
Willingness to obtain additional IICRC certifications for professional growth
Compensation & Benefits
$20–$25 per hour , depending on experience
