Integration of decentral Reporting efforts
Elimination of unused dashboards
Exploration of creation of data products that span multiple departments/ domains
Key Responsibilities Be the torchbearer towards a data-driven company
Strategic Data Solution Design: Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of data solutions, including data warehousing, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration, and analytics platforms, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and enterprise architecture. You are able to deep dive into the DI SW data structures.
Business Requirements Translation: Partner closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and data analysts to deeply understand their data needs, translating complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications and solution designs.
Technical Leadership & Guidance: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering and development teams, guiding them through the implementation phases and ensuring adherence to best practices, architectural standards, and quality principles. You are able to navigate in the SDC context and engage with the business to simplify data structures
Technology Evaluation & Selection: Research, evaluate, and recommend new data technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance our data capabilities, improve performance, and drive innovation.
Data Governance & Quality Integration: Work closely with data governance and data quality teams to embed principles of data integrity, security, privacy, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX) into all data solution designs.
Required Skills and Experience
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, business intelligence, or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or solution design capacity.
Data Architecture Expertise: Proven experience in designing and implementing complex data solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, and real‑time data processing systems.
Cloud Platform Proficiency: Strong hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud data platform (e.g., Azure Data Platform, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
Database Technologies: In‑depth knowledge of various database technologies (relational, NoSQL, columnar) and data modeling techniques.
ETL/ELT Tools: Experience with modern ETL/ELT tools and data integration patterns.
Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Scala, Java).
Communication & Leadership: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and lead technical discussions.
Problem‑Solving: Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
Certifications in cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
Experience with advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI integration into data solutions.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools.
Experience in an agile development environment.
