Summary The Office Coordinator meets administrative and secretarial requirements for department management.
Responsibilities
Meets administrative and secretarial requirements of the office.
Responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly office environment.
Monitors safe and reliable functioning of office equipment and facility.
Trains and oversees the work of clerical staff in all functional areas.
Communicates with other offices, hospital departments, and outside agencies.
Researches appointment, scheduling, billing and customer service problems for patients/families.
Works to develop systems/procedures to help the office run more efficiently.
Other duties as required.
Technical Expertise
Experience in a front office function is required.
Experience with maintaining confidential information is required.
Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
Experience in healthcare is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Electronic Medical Record software and scheduling software is preferred.
Education and Experience
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate's degree is preferred.
Certification: None.
Years of relevant experience: 3 years.
Years of experience supervising: None.
