Skill set and educational requirements
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
1-2 years of prior lawn care experience preferred.
Possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable on company’s insurance policy.
Have a clean criminal record.
Legal documentation to verify employment eligibility.
Physically able to handle the work load of a Spray Technician.
Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
Able to lift 60 pounds without assistance.
Proficient in English in oral and written forms.
Able to interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner daily.
Responsibilities
Learn and understand all aspects of weed control as outlined above and in company SOPs.
Able to operate company equipment: trucks, backpack sprayers, hose reels, motorized spreaders, etc.
Able to perform all daily preventative maintenance (PM) on company equipment.
Able to operate GPS locator system for client scheduling.
Meets or exceeds company production standards for weed control work.
Ensures that jobs are kept on schedule and on budget.
Ensures that all safety procedures are followed and reports any unsafe conditions to supervisors.
Looks for extras and up-sales, and converts them into work orders when appropriate.
Ensures all work orders are processed correctly.
Interfaces with office staff.
Maintains a clean crew truck at all times.
Able to fill out and process all necessary job paperwork, purchase orders, and time sheets.
Able to interact with clients and potential clients in a professional, courteous, and competent manner.
Thoroughly understands and complies with company policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Able to work with minimal supervision from the Fert Manager, but knows when to ask for assistance.
Reports to The Spray Technician reports directly to the Fert Manager.
Salary, bonus, and/or commissions Commensurate with experience ($17.00 to $22.00 per hour).
Appraisal criteria The primary appraisal criteria for the Spray Technician is to be able to perform tasks in a safe manner with minimal supervision, while meeting or exceeding company production standards and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
