SCHEDULE: PART-TIME, NON-EXEMPT (20-29 hours per week) Sunday 7:30am-13:30pm To provide safe, dependable, secure, engaging, andnurturing care to elementary-aged children of Redemption Staff. 1. Adhere to policies and procedures asoutlined in the REDEMPTION employee handbook; 2. Take shared responsibility foraccomplishing the vision of REDEMPTION and the Redemption Kids Department 3. Strive to display professionalism andmoral conduct becoming of a church environment. 4. Create a welcoming, safe and fun environment forkids to build relationship with God and others, discover their purpose andlearn to walk in Kingdom identity. 6. Plan and implementactivities and opportunities that encourage student’s curiosity, exploration,and problem-solving. 7. Provide the childrenwith age-appropriate activities that promote physical, intellectual, andsocial growth. 8. Plan and prepareclassroom setting that is age appropriate. 9. Establish positive andongoing communication with children and staff. 10. Be willing to receiveinstruction on and contribute to the development of Weekly Lesson plans from DeptHead and Staff Childcare Coordinator on how these will be fulfilled. 11. Care for infants,toddlers and preschool aged children in an age appropriate way which includesbut is not limited to feeding,changing diapers, escorting to the restroom, maintaining a safe environment,putting children down for naps, holding, or sitting with and cheerfullyinteracting with children through games, stories, play and prayer. 12. Assist in observing,assessing, recording, and identifying the needs of each child and plan forthe child’s growth. 13. Implement currentHealth Standards Policy. 14. Maintain CleanEnvironment for children. 15. Be a problem solver andtake initiative within the classroom to ensure lesson plans and schedules arecarried out. 16. Have exceptionalcommunication, teaching and interpersonal skills. 17. Have a joyful demeanorand attitude with Staff, children and families. 18. Follow health andsafety protocol, complete Incident/Accident Report and submit to properauthorities in accordance with Redemption policy 19. Help on Sundays in RedemptionKids Live services as needed. 20. Attendrequired staff meetings during the week and assist with preparation ofsupplies and curriculum materials throughout the week as needed. 21. Attendall special events and assist when needed. Requirements

Submitted and committed to the vision of Redemption. Good organizational and communication skills; attention todetails; able to handle information with confidentiality. Ability to relate well with pastoral staff, ministryleaders, co-workers, volunteers, visitors, and members. Great attitude and willing to be flexible in the midst ofchange
