Job Description The Administrative Specialist I (S) – Casework Technician position is located in Chatham County, Siler City, and supports Rehabilitation Counselors by providing casework support for general and school caseloads, as well as broader office needs. The role requires extensive knowledge of community resources and local employers, strong communication skills, and the ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities
Interview consumers and gather diagnostic data to assist counselors in determining eligibility and required rehabilitation services.
Assist in developing a written plan of services in conjunction with the consumer, parent and/or guardian; enter casework data into relevant applications throughout the rehabilitation process.
Prepare documents, including authorizations and correspondences, and complete related administrative tasks in tandem with the processing assistant.
Monitor the consumer's progress throughout the service delivery process.
Work directly with community partners to assist individuals with disabilities in becoming suitably employed.
Document service delivery and case progress in the case‑management system as required by agency policy.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and two years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Wide knowledge of community resources and local employers.
Excellent communication skills with diverse populations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/Management Preferences are not required, but preferred qualifications include experience with community partnership and employment of individuals with disabilities.
Compensation & Benefits Salary Grade Range:
$37,782 – $66,120 Recruitment Range:
$37,782 – $46,000
Position may be eligible for a hybrid‑teleworking schedule, including weekly onsite work hours.
Benefits include health insurance options, standard and supplemental retirement plans, the NCFlex program, paid vacation, sick and community service leave, and paid parental leave.
