Capacity & Production Planner / Scheduler

The Capacity & Production Planner / Scheduler is responsible for translating customer demand into actionable production plans that support LiquidStack’s fast‑paced, scaling manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing to develop and maintain production schedules, balance capacity, and ensure materials and resources are aligned to meet delivery commitments. The Planner / Scheduler works hands‑on within ERP/MRP systems to manage work orders, identify constraints, and drive data‑based decisions that improve throughput, on‑time delivery, and overall operational performance. This role is well suited for a detail‑oriented, adaptable planning professional who thrives in a growing organization, values cross‑functional collaboration, and is motivated by continuous improvement and customer impact.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Production Planning and Scheduling
Develop, maintain, and update production schedules based on customer demand, forecasts, material availability, and manufacturing capacity
Create, release, and manage work orders within ERP and MRP systems
Monitor schedule adherence and drive corrective actions when disruptions occur
Balance competing priorities to support on‑time delivery and throughput targets
Capacity Planning and Execution
Perform capacity planning to balance labor, equipment, and resources across production lines and work centers
Identify production constraints, risks, and bottlenecks and recommend mitigation plans
Support scenario planning as production volumes, product mix, and demand evolve
Materials and Cross‑Functional Coordination
Execute MRP activities to ensure timely material availability while minimizing shortages and excess inventory
Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement to align material planning with production schedules
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to support change management and operational execution
Data, Metrics, and Continuous Improvement
Track and report key planning and production metrics, including schedule adherence, on‑time delivery, throughput, and capacity utilization
Maintain accurate planning data, documentation, and reports to support ISO compliance and audit readiness
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including planning workflows, ERP optimization, and system enhancements as the organization scales

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Required Experience
3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
Hands‑on experience working in ERP/MRP systems
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable plans
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting, and planning tools)
Experience working cross‑functionally in a manufacturing environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a high‑mix, low‑to‑medium volume manufacturing environment
Background in capacity planning, master scheduling, or inventory management
Familiarity with ISO‑regulated or quality‑driven manufacturing environments
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts)
