Job Summary This is an amazing opportunity for an Assembly and Test Inspector for our Product Delivery Center, working second shift Monday-Friday 3:30pm to Midnight. A shift differential is offered.

What You Will Do

Use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly and components.

Perform dimensional and visual inspections following standardized methods and established techniques.

Work with surface plate and standard measuring techniques to verify accuracy of parts, tools, gauges, or other equipment.

Accept or reject material based on findings, according to written inspection procedures and engineering drawings.

Plan and perform dimensional and/or visual inspections on parts, tools, gauges, and equipment.

Refer material for rework or quality review based on findings.

Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines.

Check dimensions and record results as defined by program instructions.

Perform necessary mathematical computations to resolve extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork.

Follow proper procedures to perform in-line checks and verifications of dimensions and ensure operation sheets are followed.

Carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description, to support department objectives and develop individual skills.

What You Will Learn

Skills, systems, and processes critical to aerospace manufacturing within a state‑of‑the‑art facility.

Interpretation and application of technical data to aid in the disassembly and assembly of commercial and military jet engines.

Forklift, scissor lift, and other powered industrial vehicle (PIV) trainings.

Basic Qualifications

High school graduate or GED.

Two years of formal training in power‑plant mechanics and testing.

Preferred Qualifications

A‑P License.

Experience working from complicated drawings, specifications, procedures, and instructions to fabricate, configure, install, remove/replace, and set up a variety of power systems, components, modules, and associated equipment.

Experience with Solumina, SFWF, or similar programs.

Ability to obtain and maintain certifications to operate powered industrial vehicles.
