The Role We’re looking for a
People Operations Generalist
to support Avoca’s growing team across recruiting operations, employee experience, and day-to-day people programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, thrives in fast-paced environments, and wants exposure across the full employee lifecycle.
You’ll partner closely with Talent, Hiring Managers, Finance, and Leadership to ensure our people processes are efficient, compliant, and thoughtfully designed. This person’s main focus will be delivering a great candidate and employee experience.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate interviews across multiple teams, manage scheduling, and ensure a seamless candidate experience
Support recruiting operations including job postings, ATS hygiene, candidate communications, and reporting
Own onboarding and offboarding logistics, documentation, and system access in partnership with IT and Finance
Support day-to-day People Ops workflows including employee data management, benefits administration, and HR systems
Assist with payroll, compliance tracking, and policy administration
Partner on employee experience initiatives including engagement, events, and internal communications
Help maintain and improve people processes, documentation, and internal tools
Act as a first point of contact for employee questions, escalating as needed
What You’ll Bring
2–4+ years of experience in
People Operations, Recruiting Coordination, or HR Generalist
roles
Experience supporting recruiting processes and scheduling in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Clear, professional communicator who is comfortable working with candidates and employees
Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting timelines
High degree of discretion when handling sensitive information
Bonus: Experience with HRIS, ATS tools (Ashby), or high-growth startups
