The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe handling of inventory, shipments, and personnel. This role is responsible for leading warehouse staff, optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory integrity, and upholding safety and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and storage.

Monitor workflow to maintain high levels of accuracy, productivity, and on-time fulfillment.

Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, etc.).

Team Leadership

Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse associates.

Assign tasks, set priorities, and manage daily staffing requirements.

Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development.

Promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment.

Lead and own the continued development of warehouse and inventory team members.

Inventory Control

Maintain accurate inventory counts through routine cycle counts and audits.

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Work closely with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy and availability.

Safety & Compliance

Enforce OSHA and company safety policies.

Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with all regulations.

Conduct or coordinate regular safety meetings and training.

Educated and ensure proper heavy metal handling practices.

Process Improvement

Identify inefficiencies and recommend operational improvements.

Support implementation of warehouse technology, automation, or system upgrades.

Track KPIs such as order accuracy, shipping timeliness, and inventory variances.

Partner cross departmentally with counterparts to execute progressive growth.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

5+ years of warehouse ,logistics, and/or inventory control experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role.

Experience with WMS systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Odoo or similar).

Skills

Strong leadership and cross departmental communication skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Ability to operate warehouse machinery (certification preferred).

Proficient with inventory systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, ERP.).

Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Working Conditions

Fast-paced warehouse, non climate controlled environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

May require overtime, evening, or weekend work based on operational needs.
