Position Summary: Project Managers II (PM II) participate in the planning, preparation, and execution of environmental projects. They are responsible for overall on-site project performance from inception to close. PM II’s are leaders who will work alongside their Team Members. PM II’s are the main point of contact for customers, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and Team Members

Essential Functions

Plans, organizes, and coordinates moderate to complex projects with minimal supervision.

Accountable for delivery and maintenance of high standards of customer service through both customer interface and business operation.

Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses within prescribed budget.

Identifies, tracks, and works with others to resolve project issues and mitigate project risks.

Prepares project reports for leaders, clients, or others and responsible for timely, accurate submission of all project activity, incidents, logbooks, and other project-related data from the field.

Ensure project documentation is complete and up to date.

Attends site walks to prepare reports for bidding opportunities.

Ensures safety is a top priority and follows all safety policies and procedures.

Performs emergency response site evaluation activities including evacuation, drum management, and disposal.

Utilizes company values in providing balanced leadership to guide, mentor, and support Team Members on projects.

Manages project personnel to ensure project progresses according to schedule and budget. - Prepares project reports and ensures timely submission of project data.

Creates field invoices for billing, including all necessary supporting documents.

Participates in site walks for bidding opportunities.

Plans and overseas hazardous waste site remediation projects.

Supervises teams managing hazardous materials per regulations.

Completes waste profiles and regulatory documentation.

Conducts emergency response site evaluations and projects.

Coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

Prepares project reports for Leadership, Customers, or others and responsible for timely, accurate submission of all project activity, incident, logbooks, and other project-related data from the field.

Prepares “field” invoice for submission to accounting department for billing; the field invoice must include all documents required to support and substantiate timely and accurate invoicing to clients.

Attends site walks to prepare reports for bidding opportunities.

Plans, coordinates, and manages hazardous waste site remediation projects.

Oversee Teams that perform lab pack services, segregating and classifying hazardous and non-hazardous materials per Federal DEP & EPA guidelines and State requirements.

Complete waste profiles and regulatory documentation including manifests, Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR’s) and container labels.

Perform emergency response site evaluation activities including chemical and water spills, biological contamination, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination, etc.

Perform projects pertaining to hazardous waste operations, including evacuation, drum management and disposal.

Must oversee an emergency response team and have knowledge of all levels of Personal Protection Equipment(PPE)

Ensure Health and Safety policies are always strictly followed.

Project Managers may be on call due to the emergency response nature of this business.

Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects electronically through Geotab™ & WhipAround™; also communicate issues with Dispatch and Supervisor

Assist in the setup, tear down & decontamination of equipment.

Follow applicable safety rules regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear using appropriate techniques including handwork or manual work in accordance with established methods and applicable regulations

Required to wear proper PPE including Flame Resistant (FR) uniform, hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots and leather gloves at minimum; respirator and protective clothing as instructed for designated tasks

Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Timely and dependable attendance required.

Must be flexible to work outside normal business hours as needed.

Must be prepared to work flexible or extended hours in inclement weather conditions, including heat, cold, & humidity

Willingness to enter confined spaces, work from heights & occasionally perform tasks from boats.

Able to work as part of a team and independently, under minimal supervision.
