What will I do?
Focus on company standards regarding merchandising, highlighting quality, freshness and uniqueness of products
Use passion and knowledge to educate team members and customers on product offerings
Proactively approach customers, answer questions, help locate items and offer suggestions to complete their meals
Required Qualifications
1 or more years of work experience or a college degree
Computer Skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading a team
Enthusiasm for and knowledge of relevant products
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new situations and subject matters
Experience ordering products and controlling inventory; Experience coordinating daily work of others; Experience working in a deli and/or using a deli slicer; Managerial/supervisory experience living our values and achieving results in our 5 measures; Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting;
Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, repetitive grasping, repetitive hand and arm movements, occasional heavy lifting, bending, and reaching, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 35 pounds occasionally. Upper extremity repetition is moderately high and trunk movement involves moderate to moderately high twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is indoors and involves exposure to cold (33 – 55 degrees) temperatures. Basic tools and equipment used include slicer, knives, scale, and packaging supplies.
