We are seeking a BE/BC General Gastroenterologist to join a supportive, well-integrated team offering a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care.
About this Job Opportunity:
Join a GI group of 15 Physicians and 3 Nurse Practitioners
Both Inpatient/Outpatient settings
4 Endoscopy Suites
Lab and X-ray on site
Clinic Schedule Monday - Friday
Approx. 20 patients/day
No Weekend Clinic requirements
Clinic Call Requirements only via Telephone
EMR: Epic
Position Requirements:
M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy from a recognized institution.
Gastroenterology Fellowship-Training completion
ABIM Board Certified/Eligible in Gastroenterology
A valid New Jersey State Medical license, DEA, and CDS are required upon start
Maintains CME credit hours as required for Board Certification and/or hospital staff privileges
Recruitment Package may include:
Salary starting at $400,000
Base salary + wRVU production incentive
CME allowance
Medical debt assistance + Consultative services by Navigate Student Loans

Paid malpractice coverage

About Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center: Hackensack Meridian Health Mountainside, or Mountainside Hospital, is a joint venture between Hackensack Meridian and Ardent Health Services. Located in Montclair, New Jersey, the hospital is a premier 365-bed acute‑care facility specializing in cardiology, cancer care, surgery, chronic kidney disease, and other services, including obstetrics, neonatal care, and inpatient geriatric psychiatry. The hospital also boasts a Level II Neonatal Nursery, a Primary Stroke Center, and an Emergency Services Department that serves over 40,000 patients annually. It is one of a few community hospitals licensed by the State to perform emergency and elective cardiac angioplasty. Additionally, Mountainside is an affiliate of the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and hosts 47 full‑time medical students and residents.
