Assistant Coach 1 - Strength & Conditioning

Job Summary / Basic Function The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Strength and Conditioning with general oversight of the Strength and Conditioning Program for the university's 17 NCAA Division I sports. Essential tasks include: assist with day-to-day operation of the strength and conditioning facility; oversee assigned sports programs which include but will not be limited to football and baseball; develop sport specific workouts; and work directly with student athletes and the coaching staffs to develop, illustrate, oversee, and document the progress of the student athletes' physical fitness and conditioning. Provide oversight of nutritional supplements and nutrition; serve as a liaison to the Compliance Office for additions or deletions to the athletic rosters; serve as a positive role model for the athletes; work to enhance community relations and perform other related duties or projects as assigned.
Required Education Bachelor's degree required.
Required Related Experience Two (2) years related work experience in the field of strength and conditioning on the collegiate level or business sector and/or One (1) year related experience and S.C.C.C. or C.S.C.S. certification.
Desirable Related Experience Master's degree preferred. Three (3) years progressively responsible related work experience in field of strength and conditioning on collegiate level or private business sector with S.C.C.C. or C.S.C.S. certification.
Desired License/Registration/Certification S.C.C.C. or C.S.C.S. certification preferred.
